For the last three years, people have travelled to the middle of nowhere, top of the world Iceland, Kollafoss Game Farm, with two goals in mind; Make games and pet lambs. Lets do it again!

There's no sign of civilisation around, barely any farm, as Kollafoss is situated in a dead end valley close to the borders of the highlands of Iceland. The only thing you can see is the barren highlands ahead, small group of game developers who got the same crazy idea as you, and some sheep.

...and yes, you will be able to pet lambs.

Kollafoss Game Farm, North west Iceland, on a farm called Kollafoss in Vesturárdalur, Húnaþing Vestra. A 25 minute drive from Hvammstangi. 3 hour drive from Reykjavík.

Want to see it on a map? Here you go!

Where do I sleep?

Kollafoss is a farm that can house around seven people (or more, if we add mattresses on the floor and squeeze a little bit). It has three available bedrooms with two beds each, two bathrooms, two sizeable living rooms perfect for game development, a bathroom (with a shower/bathtub), a porch (which was recently destroyed to make way for optic fiber), a decent sized kitchen and a lot of coffee!

Anything else?

Participants will be invited to a Facebook group where more information will be posted and people can plan how to get to the area. If you need any information, feel free to contact us. (contact information below)

A lot of the practical information over at the Kollafoss website applies to the Isolation Game Jam as well.

For more information, keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Kollafoss Game Farm is to blame for this and your hosts will be Jóhannes Gunnar Þorsteinsson and Arnfríður Hanna Hreinsdóttir.
